Frequently Asked Questions

What is World Rugby Passport?

World Rugby Passport is your gateway to the training and education web sites provided by World Rugby. Registering for a World Rugby Passport gets you access to online accreditation on a range of topics from Law education to physical preparation.

You can find out further details on this page http://passport.worldrugby.org/

I have registered on World Rugby Passport, but I have not received a link to activate my account?

Please check your junk or spam folder in the first instance. If not, then please try to register again in case it did not save.

I have forgotten my password; how do I change it?

You will find a link at the bottom of the user log in page which says, “I forgot my password”. Please click on this link and you will be able to enter your email address and a link to reset your password will be emailed to you.

I already have an account but now I have a new email address; what do I do?

There is no need to create a new account.

Please contact support at registration@passport.worldrugby.org with your new and old email addresses.

I already seem to have two accounts on the system; how do I merge them?

Please contact support at registration@passport.worldrugby.org with both email addresses so that they can be merged. If you do not know both email addresses, please provide as much information as possible that could assist with locating the second account.

What courses are being run this year and how do I take part in a course?

For Level 1 courses, please contact your own Union to find out what courses are being run and where. You can find a list of the Unions on our Member Unions page (worldrugby.org/member-unions).

You can also find a list of Level 2 courses and above on our Training & Education page. Alternatively, you can contact your Regional Training Manager. You will find their details here worldrugby.org/news/31352.

I have taken part in a course but haven’t received my certificate, how can I get a copy?

Please go to passport.worldrugby.org/ and log in using the email address you registered on the course with. You will see an option that says, “your certificates”. Once you click on this link you will see a copy of your certificate which you will then be able to download.

If it is not there, please contact support at help@passport.worldrugby.org with the following information: Date, Location & name of the World Rugby Educator who ran the course. All of this information is required.

How do I become a World Rugby Educator?

First you will need to be qualified up to Level 2 in the strand that you are hoping to deliver and of course complete all the appropriate online learning modules. The next step will be for your Union to nominate you to attend a World Rugby Educator course within your Region. Without your Union’s nomination we will not train you to become an Educator.

I am already a World Rugby Educator, how do I become a World Rugby Trainer?

To become a World Rugby Trainer, you should already be an active World Rugby Educator, with a history of running courses within your Union or Region.  Your Union then needs to nominate you to the Regional Training Manager to attend this course.

What is a Regional Training Manager?

The Regional Training Manager supports the implementation and delivery of World Rugby’s Training and Education programmes within the Region by developing and deploying a suitably qualified regional workforce of World Rugby Master Trainers, Trainers and Educators to deliver a needs-based Regional Training Programme across the strands of our portfolio.
